i'm geoph essex, and this is my one-man graphic design studio, offering some impressive skills, an incredible amount of talent, and a lot of constant and consistent hard work. i'm a graphic artist, a graphic and web designer, and a web programmer (among other things).

i've been working in art and design in one form or another for most of my life. my university studies encompassed a wide range of subjects, including art, illustration, design, and computer science. i'm self-taught on most modern software, and my skill set includes a broad variety of applications and techniques, from photoshopping and layout to three-dimensional digital imagery and audio creation. i'm highly adaptable, and i've been known to learn entirely new coding languages overnight in order to meet a particular client's demand. (true story.)

most of my work has been as a freelancer, though i've also done work within larger companies. i co-founded my own design firm, as the company's principal designer and senior partner, and then moved on to merge with another firm, where i became creative director. eventually, though, i opted to return to the freelance lifestyle in order to have some more time to pursue my other goals and projects. in addition, i've taught college courses on design, web design, and the business of graphic design — educating aspiring young designers about contracts, copyright law, and more.
